Fulton named CMA Marketer of the Year

The Canadian Marketing Association of Toronto has named Duncan Fulton as its 2015 Marketer of the Year. Fulton is a senior vice-president at Canadian Tire Corporation and chief marketing officer for FGL Sports and Mark's. The award is given annually to an individual who has "displayed outstanding marketing acumen and leadership."

Fulton joined Canadian Tire as senior vice-president of Canadian Tire in 2009. Prior to that, he was a senior partner and general manager at Fleishman-Hillard, as well as communications advisor to the Office of the Prime Minister and communications director at the Canadian International Development Agency.

"It has been incredible to watch Duncan Fulton rise to the top of Canada's marketing community over the last five years," said CMA president and CEO John Gustavson. "We took particular notice of his role as a change agent within his company at a time when the rules inside the entire marketing industry are being rewritten. We also wanted to recognize the extent of his efforts in helping Canadian Tire's brand reaffirm its place as one of Canada's great business and community institutions."
