CMA readies Marketing Mentors program

The Toronto-based Canadian Marketing Association has issued a call for volunteers to act as mentors to junior and mid-level marketing professionals from BIPOC and newcomer communities. The association will launch an eight-month program called "CMA Marketing Mentors" in the spring, developed by its recently-formed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee. Mentors and participants will meet monthly to discuss topics such as psychological safety, career advancement, personal branding and leadership.

"The CMA Marketing Mentors program seeks to not only elevate diverse voices, but also to ensure that all marketers are receiving the support and guidance they need to shine," said Sartaj Sarkaria, chief diversity officer at the CMA. "The CMA is grateful to our supporters and partners who are working with us to bring this initiative to life."
