CP HOTELS HAS ROOM FOR VANCOUVER AGENCY

Canadian Pacific Hotels and Resorts has a second western agency on its roster now. Palmer Jarvis Advertising in Vancouver recently signed on to do regional advertising in British Columbia. PJA got the assignment on a referral from Toronto agency Harrod & Mirlin, which won the national advertising assignment for the hotel chain in June. Harrod & Mirlin knows Palmer Jarvis' work; the two agencies have been collaborating on Kraft General Foods' Nabob coffee account for more than three years. Shortly before Harrod & Mirlin checked in with CP, Karo Design Resources of Calgary was hired to handle advertising in Alberta. BOS of Montreal has the Quebec account. According to Nielsen Marketing Research estimates, CP spent just over $2 million in advertising last year.
