Vachon conducts time travel campaign

Bimbo Canada has begun a new campaign for its Vachon line of snack foods to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the brand. Developed by Cossette, the national “Time Travelling Bites” campaign consists of video depicting the products along side various generations of consumers. The executions feature strongman The Great Antonio pulling buses in Montreal in the 1960s, runner Bruny Surin winning at the 1995 World Championships, and an emergency aircraft landing on a highway in 2020. The campaign also makes use of digital ads and social media content.
“Our ‘Time Travelling Bites’ campaign transports our fans to historic landmark moments in an entertaining and imaginative way,” said Maryna Shcherbyna, senior marketing manager for Vachon. “ It's all about creating exposure, fostering engagement and celebrating our 100th anniversary. Vachon has seen a lot in the last century, and it's our pleasure to remind everyone that our brand has been an integral part of our lives and national snacking heritage.”
