Leon's Furniture readies Crafternoon promotion

Leon's Furniture of Toronto is preparing a holiday season promotional event to take place on Nov. 21. Called the "Do-it-Yourself Crafternoon," the event will be aimed primarily at millennial-aged consumers. The event will take place at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto and will involve various home design bloggers demonstrating holiday-themed home decor ideas. These ideas will also appear in a 90-page digital magazine called Hello Holiday. The publication will contain links to the retailer's store pages for individual products, as well as projects and photographs taken in the homes of the participating bloggers. Leon's will also distribute a 16-page print edition of the publication with the December issue of Style at Home magazine.

"Through candid stories from inside the walls of our bloggers' homes, we are hoping to show that real life is textured, interesting and fun, but it's not always perfect," said Autumn Hachey, content marketing manager at Leon's. "That's why all of the photos featured in Hello Holiday were shot in our bloggers' real homes, with their real families, sharing simple on-trend DIY decor and gift ideas for real life."

Participating blogs include The Little DeKonings, This Little Estate, Lazy Mom's Blog, EllivenStudio, Craftberry Bush and The Learner Observer. The event will be supported with social media activities and a website at <http://www.leons.ca/helloholiday>. The promotion is being managed by Praxis PR in association with Sweet Escape Studio, Taxi2, Rooftop Agency and OMD.
