AMERICAN SENSORS SWITCHES PR AGENCIES
By Adnews Staff
American Sensors of Toronto handed the PR portion of its account to Langdon Starr Public Relations of Toronto last month. The agency was chosen in a competition with Environics Communications and Fleishman Hillard, both of Toronto. Langdon Starr will work with the company's U.S. PR agency, Ketchum Public Relations, to develop public education and brand awareness campaigns. The incumbent on the Canadian business was National Public Relations of Toronto, which worked with Porter Novelli of New York. American Sensors decided to have a review because it has a new management team in place which wanted to feel confident it had the right team on board, Canadian marketing director Brian Peat told Adnews last week. DDB Needham Worldwide of New York handles advertising for the company in Canada and the U.S. American Sensors markets carbon monoxide detectors, smoke alarms and gas detectors.
