DOUBLECLICK EXPANDS NORTH OF THE BORDER

New York-based Internet advertising network DoubleClick Inc. has expanded into the Canadian market by opening a Toronto office. Using DoubleClick, ads targeted to Canadians will appear only when a Canadian visits one of the sixty sites in the DoubleClick network. In addition, banners in French can be presented in Quebec City to lead people to the French pages of a site. Users in Montreal can view one ad while users in Toronto see another on the same site. Jay Aber heads up the Toronto office. He was previously president of direct marketing consulting agency Jay R. Aber & Associates Ltd.
