BUCKLEY'S TO TOUT BAD TASTE AGAIN

With cold season upon us, W.K. Buckley of Mississauga, Ont. continues to tell Canadians that its cold remedy leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but it works. The company launched a radio and TV campaign this week. Three 30-second radio spots will run in Ontario, B.C. and Alberta. The two TV ads will feature company president Frank Buckley and will run in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the Maritimes. The campaign was created by Bensimon*Byrne of Toronto. The ads use the slogan "It tastes awful. And it works." The slogan was created in 1987 by Peter Byrne, co-founder of Bensimon. In Quebec, Buckley will run the same TV spot it ran last year. This commercial was created by Martel et Compagnie of Montreal.
