RBC, Student Life Network conduct contest

RBC and the Student Life Network are conducting a joint contest promotion called "Thank You Mom and Dad." The national contest invites students to submit descriptions of the support they have received from their parents during their post-secondary education. Entries can also cite grandparents, siblings, guardians or mentors. Entrants create an online "Thank You" page that can contain text, videos, photographs and social media messages. Students can gain additional contest entries by following RBC on Twitter, posting Twitter messages about the contest or visiting the RBC Facebook page. A randomly-selected winner will receive $20,000 to use to thank the supportive people in their lives. The contest will run until June 30 at <http://thankyou.studentlifenetwork.com>.
"Most students rely on multiple sources to help pay for school, but a common thread among all is the emotional support they receive during post-secondary education," said Melissa Jarman, director of student banking at RBC. "Students tell us the advice and support helped them make the right choices. So how do you say thank you for something so significant? 'Thank You Mom and Dad' is a way to celebrate these unsung heroes."
