Corus rebrands Barrie station as Fresh Radio

Corus Entertainment has rebranded its FM station in Barrie, ON as 93.1 Fresh Radio. The station, previously known as CHAY-FM, will maintain its existing programming format of contemporary pop music. This is the eighth station Corus has placed under the Fresh Radio brand, along with stations in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Cornwall, Hamilton, Kingston, Longon and Peterborough.

"We've seen great success in our seven radio markets with the Fresh Radio brand, and are excited to extend the format to audiences in Barrie," said Ronnie Stanton, vice-president of national brands and programming at Corus. "93.1 Fresh Radio will continue to maintain a local focus and deliver an energetic, relevant and contemporary listening experience."
