Budweiser readies Home of Goals commercial

Beer brand Budweiser Canada will release a new television commercial on Feb. 1 during the broadcast of the Super Bowl NFL championship game. The ad, called "Home of Goals," depicts a surprise trip to a hockey game in New York given to 10 employees of a hockey puck factory in Saint-Jérôme, QC. It has also been posted online at YouTube. The campaign also includes a social media component encouraging Canadian consumers to sign hockey pucks and submit them to be part of a new town sign for Saint-Jérôme.

"We saw first hand the dedication this team has for making the perfect hockey puck," said Todd Allen, director of Budweiser Canada. "Budweiser shares a commitment to craftsmanship and a love of hockey with Soucy Baron. Coming together to celebrate our mutual passions created unforgettable moments that we're proud to share with all Canadians. At Budweiser we love hockey, so we're always working to elevate game time for other diehard fans. We're passionate about goals and all the people who help make them."

Budweiser is distributed in Canada by Labatt Breweries.
