Labatt begins Budweiser Bubble contest

Labatt Breweries of Canada has begun a national contest promotion for its Budweiser brand called the “Budweiser Bubble.” Four winners will each receive a one-week vacation in a closed environment with three friends during which they will be “paid” $5,000 to watch sports. The “bubble” will include a theatre in which to watch sports programming, a gaming station, ball hockey, basketball nets, football field, tailgate party facilities, a personal chef, a gym and a collection of sports-themed merchandise.

Consumers can enter by submitting videos via social media describing why their group of friends is most deserving of the vacation. Videos can be submitted to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Submissions will be judged on creativity, uniqueness, entertainment value, displays of passion and their expression of how sports bring the friends together. Former NHL hockey player and media personality Paul Bissonnette will participate in the judging process.

“Budweiser believes in the value and power of sports to bring people together, and we knew we had to do something special to celebrate this moment in sports history and to get buds back together safely, after so much time apart,” said Mike D’Agostini, director of marketing at Budweiser Canada.
