Nature's Bounty readies Corus campaign

Supplement company Nature's Bounty is preparing a marketing initiative in association with specialty television channels W Network and Oprah Winfrey Network Canada, both properties of Toronto-based Corus Entertainment. As part of the promotion, Vivianne Collins, host of the show OWN Theatre, will use the company's products for 30 days. She will describe the effect they have on her hair, skin and nails in a series of 30-second video that will run on-air and online beginning Jan. 26. These will be accompanied by 15-second product and brand commercials on both channels. Online materials at WNetwork.com and NaturesBounty.ca will encourage consumers to participate in their own 30-day trial along with Collins. The national campaign is aimed primarily at women over the age of 35. It was negotiated by Havas Media. The creative was developed by Corus.

"This is the first time we have done a multi-channel client marketing initiative using OWN Canada and W Network," said Lynn Chambers, vice-president of client marketing at Corus. "The Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails 30 Day Challenge was the perfect opportunity to work with Vivianne and allow her to connect with our viewers as she participates in the challenge herself and shares her journey with our audience."
