Pattison begins Dear City Canada initiative

Toronto-based Pattison Outdoor Advertising, in collaboration with Spacing Magazine, has begun a national initiative called "Dear City Canada." From July 14 to Aug. 10, digital billboards in nine Canadian cities will display Twitter messages from residents expressing their affection for their cities. Approximately 40 messages will be displayed on the designated billboard in each of Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax. In addition, approximately 100 messages will be displayed on digital screens in office buildings, residential buildings and shopping malls nationally, as well as in the the Calgary International Airport, the Edmonton transit system and the Toronto transit system. This is the second year Pattison has conducted this program, which is part of its ongoing Art in Transit initiative.
