H-P ADDS TO VECTRA SERIES OF DESKTOP PCS
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Hewlett-Packard will introduce a Vectra desktop computer model to the North American market next month. Called the HP Vectra VE, the machine's features include one gigabyte of hard drive space, a 64-bit graphics engine and a safety off, which prevents users from turning off the PC when unsaved data could be lost. Video allocation lets users switch from one megabyte to two megabytes of video memory when using high-resolution graphic applications. Although there is no product-specific Canadian advertising for this machine, H-P began advertising its entire line of Vectra PCs late last month. The campaign uses print and TV created by Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising of Toronto.
