Coca-Cola Canada sponsors three Olympic athletes

Coca-Cola Canada of Toronto has signed sponsorship agreements with three Canadian athletes working toward the 2014 Olympic Winter Games: figure skater Patrick Chan, hockey player Steven Stamkos and short track speed skater Marianne St-Gelais.

The three will participate in Coca-Cola marketing activities leading up the the games, with the intention of encouraging Canadians to live more active, healthy lives. Beginning in January, limited edition collector cans will include the signatures of each athlete over silhouette images of a hockey player, a speed skater and a figure skater. The athletes will also appear in in-store and digital marketing campaigns, as well as cinema and television advertising. In addition, their personal stories will be featured on Coca-Cola's Olympic website.

"Coca-Cola Canada is proud to support these three exemplary athletes as they strive to achieve their dreams of going for the gold at the 22nd Olympic Winter Games," said Nicola Kettlitz, president of Coca-Cola. "The commitment and tenacity of these athletes serve as an inspiring reminder for all of us to get up and get moving every day."
