Boston Pizza begins Pizzaburger campaign

Restaurant chain Boston Pizza broke a new advertising campaign yesterday in support of a new menu item called the Pizzaburger. The national campaign, developed by Taxi Canada of Toronto, consists of 30- and 60-second versions of a television commercial using the tagline, "Eat one for all those who couldn't." The creative depicts the foods humans had to eat before the invention of the Pizzaburger, such as mammoth for a caveman and gruel for a peasant. The campaign will run until June 2, supported by online banner ads and branding on Microsoft's Xbox video game system. Media planning and buying were handled by PHD.
