NFL, Samsung conduct Take a Player to School contest

The National Football League has begun a Canadian contest promotion called the "NFL Take a Player to School Sweepstakes." The initiative is being conducted in association with electronics company Samsung. Parents can nominate their children for contest online until Dec. 31. The schools of the four winners will receive a visit from an NHL player, along with a collection of fitness equipment from the NFL Play 60 program and a $5,000 grant from the Samsung Hope for Children technology program. "Together with the National Football League we are proud to help provide teachers and students with the resources they need for success," said Andrew Barrett, marketing vice-president at Samsung Canada. "Enabling active healthy lifestyles and improving learning environments are important pillars of the Samsung Hope for Children program."
