MUCHMUSIC, BANK OF MONTREAL LAUNCH CONTEST

Muchmusic and the Bank of Montreal have collaborated on a contest that will give students the chance to win their tuition for the upcoming school year. A campaign composed of a television ad appearing on Muchmusic and posters at bank branches began last week and will run until Oct. 4. The contest, which is running in every province except Quebec, will offer four prizes of $2500. The television ad humorously portrays students working at less-than-fulfilling summer jobs, such as shining shoes in a bowling alley, with an accompanying message that states, "There are lots of ways to pay for your education, but only one way to win it." The TV spots and posters were designed by Vickers & Benson Advertising Ltd. of Toronto, Bank of Montreal's agency of record. The bank first ran such as contest two years ago.
