Grolsch has signed-on as the official beer sponsor of the Toronto International Film Festival. The Dutch brewer will use the sponsorship to introduce Grolsch Film Works in Canada, a new program intended to support emerging filmmakers and independent cinema. Grolsch will also be the presenting sponsor of the festival's Discovery Programme, which features work from up-and-coming filmmakers. "TIFF's exceptional reputation for spotlighting and supporting new and emerging filmmaking talent made it the perfect partner for Grolsch to bring its global commitment to indie cinema to life in Canada," said Stewart Cowan, general manager of Grolsch in Canada.
