Citytv of Toronto has signed an affiliate agreement with Saskatchewan Communications Network of Regina to make Citytv programming available in Saskatchewan. Beginning on Jan. 2, Citytv programming will air on SCN each afternoon. During this time, the network will be called "Citytv on SCN." During the rest of the day, the station will be be called SCN and will continue to air commercial-free educational and children's programming. "Early on, we identified Saskatchewan as one of the key markets in which we sought to expand our footprint," said Scott Moore, president of broadcasting at Rogers Media. "This deal allows us to deliver our world-class programming to the entire province and extend the popular Citytv brand. Having a dedicated Citytv presence in Saskatchewan gives viewers a more consistent and reliable viewing experience. It also offers the people of Saskatchewan great Canadian programming which cannot be found on US networks." SCN is Saskatchewan's provincial educational broadcaster. It is owned by Bluepoint Investment.
