Rio Tinto begins employment advertising campaign

Mining company Rio Tinto has begun a national advertising campaign intended to reinforce the brand and communicate the company's employment opportunities in Canada. The campaign, developed by Cossette, includes television, radio and newspaper advertising, as well as social media activities and a new website featuring job postings. The creative features testimonials from Rio Tinto employees. According to the company, this campaign is a first for Rio Tinto in Canada. "We have opted for a multi-platform approach that focuses on social media in order to highlight the diversified activities of the group and present the variety of disciplines and career opportunities available," said Pierre Boisseau, director of communications for Rio Tinto Alcan. "The website also presents powerful images of our sites, employee testimonials as well as our achievements in the fields of innovation and sustainable development to showcase Rio Tinto's leadership throughout the country."
