Mining company Rio Tinto Alcan has signed-on as a sponsor of the Montreal Jazz Festival for a third year. The company will be a co-presentor of the festival's free outdoor concert series, and will also sponsor the Invitation series of concerts at the Place des Arts. "This four-year sponsorship commitment of over $6 million runs through to 2010 and reinforces Rio Tinto Alcan's ongoing commitment to Montreal, our home town," said Dick Evans, chief executive of the company. The festival will run from June 26 to July 6.
