Showcase begins Endgame campaign

Specialty channel Showcase has begun a national consumer advertising campaign in support of its new series Endgame, which will debut on March 14. The four-week campaign, aimed primarily at adults between the ages of 25 and 54, includes television, print, out-of-home and online advertising. The creative uses the tagline, "Solving Crime is a Game of Strategy." In addition, a several eight-foot-tall chess pieces will placed in high-traffic areas of downtown Toronto. The campaign was developed in-house by Shaw Media. "Endgame is an intricately layered, smart and visually-striking series," said Muriel Solomon, senior director of marketing at Shaw Media. "We wanted to convey these same exciting elements through our creative executions. We leveraged stunning photography of series star Shawn Doyle and capitalized on the chess theme running throughout the show. The result is a vibrant, sleek, impactful campaign that without a doubt intrigues viewers to tune-in to this dynamic series."
