WOOD LEAVES GAYLORD GROUP

Former Toronto-based Gaylord Group creative planning director Jeffrey Wood has opened his own agency. Called Creative Initiatives of Toronto, Wood actually started the venture six years ago on a part-time basis, but was offered a long-term contract from Gaylord two and-a-half years ago, and he decided to take it. The decision to leave was not a sudden one, he told Adnews yesterday, but one that he had planned for about two years. Creative Initiatives offers is a full service ad agency, which also handles media buying. However, Wood's focus is on the creative side. His clients currently include Clark's of England and Ticketmaster.
