Ticketmaster sponsors Canadian Premier League

Ticketmaster has signed-on as a sponsor of the Canadian Premier League, a professional soccer league that will debut in April. Ticketmaster will be the officer ticketing service of the league. The company will use the agreement to promote its mobile ticketing technology. According to the league, CPL will be the first Canadian professional sports league to make use of a fully mobile ticket system. Consumers will be able to access tickets with a mobile application. The agreement will also include various fan engagement initiatives.
“The Canadian Premier League is going to provide the best technology available to their fans with our ticketing platforms,” said Patti-Anne Tarlton, chief operating officer for Ticketmaster in Canada. “We’re proud to partner with this exciting new league that will change the landscape of soccer in Canada and even more proud to bring fans the safest and most secure ticketing experience.”
