York United FC rebrands

Canadian Premier League soccer team York United FC has debuted new branding, including the name, visual style and logo. The team has also introduced its uniform for 2021, a redesigned website at <www.yorkunitedfc.ca> and a promotional online video. According to the team, the new branding is inspired by the historic Old City of York and Canadian Army regiment the Queen’s York Rangers.
“The league’s goal is to be innovative, creative and adaptable,” said David Clanachan, commissioner of the Canadian Premier League. “For York United Football Club, based on what we have learned about their fans, supporters and the overall community, we knew it was important to listen and continue to evolve the incredible brand we started in York region in 2018. We are proud of the outcome that we feel represents a fresh new look that aligns with our goal of always being innovative.”
