Canadian Premier League resumes Fan Awards promotion

The Toronto-based Canadian Premier League has begun a promotion called the “CPL Fan Awards.” The initiative will take place on the professional soccer league’s website at <http://www.canpl.ca/fan-awards> and its social media pages. During the promotion consumers can vote once per day for their favourite players and plays to enter a draw for various prizes. The winners will be announced on Nov. 25. This is the second year the league has conducted this promotion.
“Our fans and supporters are a big part of the league and their knowledge of our players, match moments and the game are important to us,” said league commissioner David Clanachan. “Even though there were no fans in stands at the Island Games this year, we know our fans are very familiar with each club’s performance. This is an important year to have our fans show support of their favourite moments from Charlottetown, PEI and an opportunity for all of us to revisit just some of the great highlights from the Canadian Premier League’s 2020 season.”
