99.9 Virgin Radio hires Doug & Serge

Astral Radio has retained Toronto-based Doug & Serge as the marketing agency of 99.9 Virgin Radio, also based in Toronto. The agency won the account in a competitive review involving an unknown number of firms. The agency's first work for the station will debut in the Greater Toronto Area in the fall. "Virgin Radio is a unique and powerful brand, so we were looking for an agency partner that could capitalize on those characteristics further building on the Virgin Radio brand identity," said Sherry O'Neil, chief planning officer at Astral Radio. "The Doug & Serge team are a dynamic mix of young talent and seasoned vets. We loved the fresh energy they brought to the table and their great understanding of our target market, while their creative credentials speak for themselves."
