Toronto-based Make It Seven has signed sponsorship agreements with Labatt Breweries and Home Hardware. The organization is attempting to mobilize public support for a new NHL hockey team in southwestern Ontario. Labatt and Home Hardware will participate in various advertising campaigns and contests. The organization has also launched a new website, located at <http://www.makeitseven.ca>. "What began as a grassroots movement to support bringing a seventh NHL club to Canada is now attaining critical mass, with these two iconic Canadian brands joining the effort," said Jim Balsillie, founder of Make It Seven.
