MONEY MART CASHES IN WITH MCKIM

McKim Media Group West of Vancouver was handed the media planning and buying account last week of National Money Mart of Victoria, B.C. The agency won without a review. Its sister agency, The Gaylord Group of Toronto, has the promotional portion of Money Mart's business, which opened the door for McKim to meet with the company and get the account, agency senior vice-president and business development director David Stanger told Adnews yesterday. The next campaign for the cheque cashing chain will be in October. It will use TV and possibly radio and print. The annual budget for the account is just under $1 million. Media buying and planning was previously handled in-house with the help of Holger Inge Productions of Toronto. Creative is handled in-house. McKim is a division of BBDO Canada of Toronto.
