BMO Financial Group of Toronto has expanded its "BMO Power of Blue" promotional program to include the 2009 home games of the Toronto FC soccer team. The initiative, introduced in January, is intended to deliver special treatment to customers of the company who attend BMO-sponsored events. Bank customers attending Toronto FC games will be able to enter the stadium through an exclusive gate. They will also have the use of an exclusive ticket window. In addition, one randomly-chosen customer will attend the coin toss at centre-field before the start of each game.

Financial company ING Direct has again signed-on as the lead sponsor of the second annual Toronto Area Hospice Regatta, which will take place June 20 and 21 in Toronto. The event seeks to raise funds for Perram House, a hospice in Toronto. "As a residential hospice, we rely heavily on corporate funding and donations in order to offer a special kind of medical and emotional support to our clients and their families," said Mary Ellen Hopgood, executive director of Perram House. "The regatta is a wonderful example of sponsors and race participants coming together to enrich the lives of others."
