Hill & Knowlton hires three

Hill & Knowlton Canada of Toronto has hired three new senior staff members: Peter Kent, Jane Shapiro and Collin Douma. Kent most recently the deputy editor of Global TV News. He has also worked at CTV, Global, CBC and NBC in journalism for the past 40 years. He has been appointed a vice-president in the agency's corporate communications practice. Jane Shapiro was formerly senior vice-president and senior partner at Fleishman-Hillard. Prior to that, she worked at Gulf Canada and Glaxo Canada. She was also deputy secretary of the Premier’s Council in the Ontario Ministry of Industry, Trade and Technology. She has been appointed deputy practice leader of Hill & Knowlton's corporate communications staff. Douma has been appointed a senior counsellor in the company's digital practice. He was previously group creative director at MacLaren McCann in Toronto Canada.
