Canadian National Exhibition conducts street promotion in Toronto

The Canadian National Exhibition has begun a street marketing promotion in Toronto leading up to the start of the annual event on Aug. 15. During the week, a group of singers will perform the CNE theme song, "Let's go to the Ex," at various locations in the downtown core. The performances will be choreographed to appear to be spontaneous sing-alongs by a group of four strangers. "The CNE theme song is well recognized throughout the city," said David Bednar, general manager of the CNE. "We're hoping these little spontaneous performances both amuse and remind people of the fun that can be enjoyed at The Ex." The campaign was developed by Toronto-based Field Day.
