Newcap gets approval for Metro Radio purchase

Newcap of Dartmouth, NS has received approval from the CRTC to purchase CTV's 50% interest in Metro Radio Group for $8.5 million. The deal is expected to close within 60 days. Metro operates radio station CKUL-FM in Halifax. Newcap is a subsidiary of Newfoundland Capital Corporation.
