Boston Pizza breaks new campaign

Boston Pizza International, based in Richmond, BC, has released a new national television advertising campaign. The initiative consists of three 30-second commercials airing on networks and specialty channels. The creative features events that took place in various Boston Pizza restaurants, each one depicting the chain bringing a community together, according to the company. One ad depicts a Boston Pizza franchisee checking the safety of the lake ice in advance of a hockey tournament. The second features a family who came to a local restaurant to watch their son play in the World Junior Championships hockey tournament. The third ad is about a family that has had a standing reservation at their local Boston Pizza every Friday night for 23 years. The campaign was developed by Toronto-based Lowe Roche. "Our new ad campaign emphasizes and demonstrates Boston Pizza's commitment to reaching out to the community," said Mark Pacinda, president of Boston Pizza. "The ads reflect that a franchisee who has real connections with the local community is building their business every day. Boston Pizza continually improves the guest experience by going above and beyond and treating our guests like family, and that's what you are going to see in these new spots."
