CBC rebrands two specialty channels

CBC rebranded two of its digital specialty channels last week. CBC Country Canada has been renamed Bold and will now carry programming related to the performing arts, drama and comedy. The Documentary Channel has been renamed Documentary and will continue to air Canadian and international documentary films. Each channel will air 80 percent Canadian content. "As the names suggest, these channels will showcase the best of new programming that will excite, challenge and provoke," said Richard Stursberg, executive vice-president of CBC English Services.
