Toronto-based public broadcaster TVO has formed an agreement with Yahoo Canada to provide educational content to the website <http://www.yahoo.ca>. This is the first time the channel has made such a deal with an online provider. TVO will provide text and video materials to the site, primarily aimed at parents and children. Subjects will include managing homework, dealing with bullies, resources for parents of children with autism and other educational issues. "TVO is focused on increasing our impact in the digital space with our unique educational media resources," said Lisa de Wilde, CEO of TVO. "Working with Yahoo Canada aligns with TVO's digital strategy to make our content accessible to new audiences through alternative distribution channels, while exploring new revenue streams and business models. By integrating our parent-focused educational content with a major online content provider like Yahoo Canada, we can reach more people while showcasing the relevance of our trusted brand."
