CTV, Rogers add two to Olympic consortium

CTV and Rogers have added two new staff members to their consortium that will handle coverage of the 2010 and 2012 Olympic Games. David Strickland has been appointed senior vice-president of sales, while Adam Ashton has been appointed vice-president of marketing.Strickland will oversee sponsorship, sales packaging, sales pricing and business development. He will also lead the national sales staff. He was most recently an independent consultant. He has also worked as director of marketing for CTV, senior vice-president of marketing at the Hudson's Bay Company and vice-president of business development at Enbridge. Ashton will lead marketing and promotional activities for the consortium, including brand planning, advertising, communications, hospitality, licensing, promotions and sponsor integration. He was most recently vice-president of marketing at TSN, where he has been for 10 years. Prior to that, he was a national key account manager at Sega of Canada.
