Days Inns Canada begins Shrek promotion

Toronto-based hotel chain Days Inns Canada has begun a national seven-week television campaign to support a summer promotion tied to the film “Shrek the Third.” During the initiative, customers will receive a package of Shrek merchandise including a magazine, playing cards and stickers. Customers can also enter a draw for a trip for four to the premiere of the next DreamWorks movie. The TV campaign is aimed at women between the ages of 25 and 54 with children under the age of 12. The 15-second animated ads broke on June 11 and will run until the end of July on national specialty stations including W Network, HGTV, Discovery, YTV, Slice, Food Network, CMT, Weather, Vision, OLN and Showcase Diva. French-language creative is running on Meteo Media, Canal Vie, Canal D, Series + and Canal Evasion. The commercials are being accompanied by print and online advertising, as well as in-hotel materials. The campaign was handled by The Media Company.
