Diesel breaks Global Warming Ready campaign

Clothing company Diesel began a new international campaign called “Global Warming Ready” yesterday. The Canadian campaign will include newspaper, magazine, transit and outdoor advertising. The creative depicts various scenes as they would appear altered by the effects of global warming. One ad portrays New York City submerged in water. Others show tropical birds in Venice, a jungle around the Eiffel Tower and a desert in Finland. The ads direct viewers to online information about ways to reduce global warming. The campaign will run nationally through April in Elle, Elle Quebec and Flare magazines as well as major daily newspapers. Billboards will also be used in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Additional transit advertising in Toronto will include busboards, a wrapped streetcar and 200 campaign images installed in Union Station. Canadian advertising for Diesel is handled by Endeavour of Toronto.
