Visitors can also rate stories, add comments and watch the first Tim Hortons television commercial. The intention is to encourage consumers to connect with the brand. "We have received so many letters and photos over the years from our customers we wanted to create a place on the web to share them," said Bill Moir, the company's chief marketing officer."From soldiers in Kandahar to Canadians living abroad, kids and parents, we are tremendously grateful to have a strong connection with our customers." The website will be promoted with television and online advertising.
Mercedes-Benz has created a new website for its BlueTec clean diesel engines. The site, located at <http://www.mercedes-benz.ca/bluetec>, was developed by Henderson Bas of Toronto. It offers information on how the system works, its performance and environmental benefits, as well as the models in which it is available. "The new technology from Mercedes-Benz is truly visionary and we wanted to ensure that the site represented that belief," said Dawna Henderson, president and CEO of Henderson Bas. "For a site that had information as a priority, it's beautiful creative really symbolized the futuristic and environmentally conscious aspect of the vehicles."
