GO READY TO RUN ADS ON TRAINS
By Adnews Staff
GO Transit is now selling advertising on the outsides of its trains and buses. To promote the idea, the Ontario commuter service will start running self-promotion ads Monday on one rail car and one bus. The train ad shows a picture of an expressway traffic jam stopped next to a billboard that says "Quit stalling. Get on the GO." On the bus there's an illustration showing a train at the front morphing into a bus towards the rear. The message on the back says "Watch this bus turn into a train." This ad promotes the GO Bus services that link Union Station in downtown Toronto with other GO train stations. The ads were created by Harrod & Mirlin of Toronto. GO is hoping to raise $500,000 to $1 million with advertising on its trains and buses.
