KODAK TO INTRODUCE NEW PRODUCTS

U.S.-based Eastman Kodak will introduce Live Picture software to North America by the end of the year. The software enables high resolution images to be moved over the Internet more quickly than current technology allows. It was developed in partnership with Microsoft Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co., both based in the U.S. No advertising is planned at the moment. Separately, Eastman Kodak is launching a low-priced digital camera in North America in the fall. The camera, which can be attached to a computer to download photos, will sell for under $500 in Canada. Advertising will be done by Ogilvy & Mather in New York. The agency's Toronto office will localize the ads for Canada and do the media buy.
