Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Distribution hires OMD

OMD Canada of Toronto has been retained as media buying agency of record by Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Distribution. The account is worth approximately $25 million. OMD was hired at the end of a six-month review that considered 11 agencies. the assignment includes traditional and online media buying in Canada. “OMD Canada brought tremendous energy and a totally fresh approach to marketing motion pictures, which is what we were looking for,” said Jim Sherry, president of Canadian theatrical distribution at the company. “We really connected with the team and their personalities and were impressed by their solid knowledge, expertise and clout in media buying.”
