The Hockey Company promotes new Vector campaign

Montreal-based The Hockey Company has begun an advertising and direct mail campaign in support of its CCM brand intended raise consumer awareness of the 2006 Vector line of equipment. The campaign will feature CCM endorsees Alexander Ovechkin, Joe Thornton, Vincent Lecavalier and Martin Brodeur. Approximately 850,000 hockey players in North America will receive a brochure describing the product line. The brochure will also be included with hockey publication The Hockey News, which has a circulation of 135,000. The brochure includes a coupon which can be redeemed for the same model hockey stick used by Ovechkin with the purchase of a pair of V10.0 skates at a participating retailer. The coupon can also be downloaded from the company’s website at <http://www.ccmsports.com>. “Every year we launch a new customized promotion targeting our top consumers, which consist of registered hockey players across the nation,” said Yan Martin, director of marketing at The Hockey Company. “This year’s campaign puts Alexander Ovechkin at the center of the promotion. Ovechkin has captivated the world of hockey with his energy on the ice and he is an inspiration for every player who wants to pursue a career in hockey.” The promotion will run from June 1 to July 15. The Hockey Company is a division of Reebok International.
