The Hockey Company holds Ovechkin nickname contest

The Hockey Company of Montreal has begun a contest in support of its CCM brand inviting hockey fans to choose a nickname for Alexander Ovechkin. The Washington Capitals player endorses the company's products. From Feb. 28 to March 12, fans can visit <http://www.ccmsports.com> to submit nicknames that they feel reflect Ovechkin's style and athletic performance. Ovechkin will then select five finalists. Fans will vote online for the winning moniker. The winner will receive from Ovechkin a set of CCM Vector skates and sticks similar to those he uses himself. The winner will be announced on March 31 as part of the introduction of a new line of Vector products. The Hockey Company is a division of Reebok International.
