Winnipeg-based telecommunications company MTS has signed a sponsorship agreement with speed skater Cindy Klassen. Klassen, who is also from Winnipeg, recently won six medals at the Winter Olympic Games. During the multi-year agreement, Klassen will represent MTS at various events and participate in the company's marketing campaigns. MTS will provide Klassen with financial support and communications services.
CHUM Television has signed a product placement sponsorship deal with Rogers Wireless. As part of the agreement, participants in the reality television program "MuchMusic VJ Search: The Series" will make use of wireless phones from Rogers. The phones will be used to deliver challenges to the contestants. They will also play a part in the completion of various challenges during the show. In addition, participants will use the phones as video and photo recording devices as they compete.
