World Urban Forum begins festival campaign

The Vancouver-based World Urban Forum has begun an advertising campaign to promote its arts and culture festival. The festival of theatre, dance, music and visual arts will run from June 21 to 25. The campaign is being conducted in association with Judith Marcuse Projects, a Vancouver-based not-for-profit organization that provides art mentoring for young people. The campaign consists of posters and a website created by Kaldor Brand Strategy + Design, also located in Vancouver. “The website and poster are incredibly accessible which really meets our goal to be inclusive to a wide variety of audiences and to nurture change through education and participation,” said Judith Marcuse Projects administrator Caitlin Pencarrick. The creative makes use of retro themes intended to pay homage to the activism of the 1960s, according to the agency. The website, located at <http://www.worldurbanfestival.com>, includes a blogging feature through which festival attendees can interact with participants.
