CHEETOS GETS HEAVIER LOAD OF CHEESE IN U.S. MARKET

U.S.-based Frito-Lay launched a new snack in the U.S. last week called Cheetos Cheesy Checker Bites. A TV commercial for the product launch features Cheetos' spokescat Chester Cheetah and comedian Phil Hartman. The spot was created by DDB Needham Worldwide of New York. The new snack has 33% more cheese than other Cheetos and a new shape. The product will not come to Canada "any time soon," U.S. spokesperson Lynn Markley told Adnews this week. "At this point it's just a U.S. product."
